Indonesia Travel Restrictions
Status: Partially Open
Indonesia allows some foreign travelers. Tourists possessing a Visit Visa, diplomats, residents of Indonesia, and those on business are permitted entry. If you arrive under the quarantine-free scheme* (currently only for travelers from 23 countries), you will be required to quarantine at a Bali hotel.

Only for travelers visiting Bali on the quarantine-free plan.
Preparation:
Complete the Indonesian Travel Pass to get the QR code required for arrival.
Provide proof of funds and willingness to comply with COVID-19 regulations.
Quarantine:
New arrivals in Indonesia who have a valid visa must quarantine for at least three days. The duration of your quarantine will be determined by your vaccination status. All travelers to Indonesia must be vaccinated from July 6, 2021, onwards.
At the moment, international planes only arrive in Jakarta, Surabaya, Medan, Bali, and Manado. You must choose a quarantine hotel in the city of your arrival. The traveler must pay for the accommodation, which averages roughly $100 US per night depending on the establishment.
Extra cost:
Must hold travel/health insurance minimum of $25,000USD.
Internal travel restrictions:
Travel and social activities are still restricted. Schools remain closed, stores and restaurants have restricted hours, and companies must reduce their workforce. The restrictions differ depending on the locale.
Face covering:
Masks are required in all public areas (indoor and outdoor), and individuals who do not comply may be fined.
Border crossing:
The land border crossing into Borneo Malaysia on the island of Kalimantan is currently closed.
