Status: Open!
Cambodia is open to international travelers but with limitations for unvaccinated travelers.
VOA: Not available.
Preparation:
get a visa in advance, pass a COVID-19 test within 72 hours, and have travel insurance with $50,000 US medical coverage.
Tested positive for rapid Test
Vaccinated travelers who tested positive for Covid-19 on a rapid test must have the PCR test and have the samples screened to determine the variant of their suspected infection. In the event of a positive test, travelers will be expected to isolate for 14 days in their hotel or other suitable accommodation.
If someone on your flight tests positive, you may be required to quarantine for 5 days, either at home or at a hotel.
Quarantine
Unvaccinated travelers must quarantine for 14 days at a government facility or hotel in Phnom Penh. You must take two more COVID-19 tests (upon arrival and on the 13th day of stay in a quarantine facility). Vaccinated travelers are no longer quarantined.
Extra cost
Unvaccinated travelers must pay a $2000 US deposit to the Cambodian government to cover COVID services while in the country (tests, waiting facilities, transport, potential medical bills). Anything not spent will be refunded after the 14-day quarantine period is over.
Internal travel restrictions:
Travel restrictions between provinces, municipal curfews, and regional lockdowns continue to exist inside the nation. Due to a shortage of customers, several hotels, public companies, and tourist sites have been forced to shut down.
Face covering:
Masks are not required but are strongly advised in all public settings.
Border crossing:
You must fly into Cambodia. Once within the nation, you are not permitted to cross the border into Thailand, Laos, or Vietnam.
